Hello,

I want to connect my X360 to the amplifier in my stereo set-up to boost the sound whilst I'm playing games and watching DVDs. The TV standard connection has two outputs for sound and one for video but aren't long enough to stretch from TV to amp.

Is there a cable out there I can buy to remedy the problem or am I gonna have to do a bit of DIY with the current cable?

Cheers.

hmmm.

Does your system have an optical input? I just connect the optical SPDIF from the xbox to my surround system...

Does not unfortunately. I'm running some pretty old gear (Audiolab 8000A with Meridian 206b CD).

Cheers.

I had the 360 hooked up to the TV and then the TV to the amp before I got the proper Component/Optical set up.

Phono extension cable for suer...

or...

Does your TV have audio outs? if so xbox -> tv -> amp , so you can have your TV's sound(whatever your watching/playing) through your stereo.

A stereo phono cable shouldnt be much money, dont get suckered, 10-20 quid tops.
