I'm wanting to use my Windows MCE PC, outputting it to the TV. They are not located close together.

The PC graphics card has a DVI, VGA, and TV Out port. Is it simply a case of running a cable from the TV Out port to the back of the TV? And if it were not possibly to run that cable, someone mentioned to me something called an 'RF Sender' whereby the signal from the TV OUT port is sent via local RF (2.4GHz) to a receiver box which is plugged into the scart or composite socket on the TV.

Can anyone shed any more light on this RF Sender thing, ie. is this true, and if so, what would the quality be like, and are there any particular units or functions I should be looking out for....bearing in mind the TV is not an HDTV jobbie.

Thanks folks,
LB

TV out look like a mouse port or a single yellow phono socket?

Yes it is as simple as running a wire from the TV Out into the TV

Thanks Matt, it is like a mouse port, can I assume its s-video?

My question is can I connect that up to an 'rf sender' to send the signal to another box receiving it and plugged into the TV?
Cheers,

Thats S-Video yep.

I have a bizzare pathological aversion to senders so couldnt be sure.

RF is audio and video mixed so I would suggest that the only way to do would be to get a SCART sender and mix the S-Video with the audio on a SCART combiner and then wirelessly send that mux'ed signal.

Sounds complicated. Is there anything better you could recommend in place of the RF sender thing then? And what would be the best connection? S-video to SCART?

One of those to convert audio and s-video to scart
