...but my car was looked after by Steve Howard of Euphoric racing and he's been recommended by others.

He's obviously made of the right stuff when I had this article shown me today:

I'd be very impressed if he had made the jet engine. But these things, including 40ftLb models are available to buy (£3K) from model aircraft shops.

I assume you just bolt them on cos they come with all the control equipment attached.

Maybe he designed his own, but if it was a bolt on its a bit less impressive.

Whilst the jet engine is off the shelf, doing all the adaptation took more than a bit of know how and Steve Howard is probably the best in the business for turning an idea into reality, I have never known anybody like him. That's why Top Gear and Fifth Gear turn to him all the time.

I saw this ages ago in London. It was very loud and stank the whole place out, Gordon Ramsey was sitting behind us and his kids were crying, I think the fumes got in their eyes as he asked for some water to wash their eyes.

Steve has a couple of other top gear projects in his workshop at present which are frankly amazing. cant wait to see them on TV

I'm tempted, very tempted, to take my car to Euphoria to get them to give my car a once over.

The journey is a bit off-putting though.

I've actually given a mate of mine, who I trust with any engine, my CD manual to study before he gets near the car.

Ireland - The problem - if thats the right word - is that any competent mechanic can work on the Cerb, especially the engine. It's a farly straighforward 'old fashioned' type car. The value of a good Indie is that they KNOW the Cerbera. You could choose the best mechanic in the workd to look after your Cerb, but if hes never worked on one before, or never driven one, then he wdnt have a clue wether it's a good or bad one, or what needs doing to sort it. A Good Indie knows what is wrong with your car after a 5 minute test drive.

I've just bought the engine manual off ebay as well. A little expensive at £30 but it's full of good information and usefule pictures. A good copy print as well, not your usual cheap photocopy effort, this is actually on some decent shiney paper.

I've just trying to work out if I can scan it and turn it into a pdf.

The one on the CD is hard to read off the screen but gets a lot clearer if you print the pages you need.

I'll eventually have most of the manual printed.
