I have previously extoled the virtues of this establishment, but it needs repeated.

JD Motor Engineers in Insch are one of the most trustworthy and efficient garages I've come across, no hesitation in recommending them to anyone with any car.

The Elise broke down on Sunday and Dave, when I phoned him, had no problem with coming down to the garage on a Sunday morning to help me out, nor did he have a problem with booking the car in there and then and having it fixed (alternator problem), the oil and filter changed and a pre-MoT check carried out by the end of Monday - despite the work schedule being full.

Very reasonable cost too.

For town dwellers, it's actually very convenient as the train station is just next to the garage so travelling back into town is very easy.

John I maybe a bit biased as Dave is my Brother-in-law and John B is a good mate but I have to say the same. I got my Mazda Xedos6 serviced there and it was like a new car when it came oot. They are real car lovers not just a job to them they really do care about cars.

I'm looking for a reliable garage to work on my Viper if need be. Would you also recommend these folks for such a car (US muscle car type of thing)?

undoubtedly. Take a trip to visit them and i'm sure you'll be happy to leave your car in their care.
