You lucky lucky person you! I'd love to go down, must be a cracking drive through france! Maybe next year.....

Incidentally, are you going via ferry or chunnel? have you done it before, and is the ground clearance ok?

Not going this year but went last year in the Vixen.
2 people, tent, sleeping bags, cooking eqpt, spare wheel, etc, etc.
Exhaust scraped on the road when I reversed off the drive at home..... but apart from that it was OK. They even parked us on one of the ramps on the ferry, I thought we were going to slide into the car in front but it was OK.
Wish I was going this year but my son has his GCSEs.

I'll be there, but not in the Dove this year. Out of work, so driving the East Sussex support van for a change. Still won't have to worry about bits dropping off etc. Will miss the drive though - always good fun with all the locals as the TVR convoys drive through the villages.

As usual I'll be looking out for all the Pre-80's TVRs that have made it down, and hopefully things will be back to normal next year.

Enjoy the ......oh and the race!

Might see you there. I am also going from Dover on the Thursday morning in the Taimar. Nothing finalised as we still don't have any camping tickets or ferry tickets bought. We applied for tickets the day we got back last year, and are STILL on a waiting list-sucks.
Next years tickets have already been bought though. Apart from the TVR's on the parade, I only saw 1 other classic, a green taimar nailing down the track the day before. Have a look at www.stigproducts.co.uk for some pics from last year.

We'll be there with our Vixen and MG Midget - although the Vixen will probably arrive about 3 hours before the Midget !!

if it doesnt fall apart on the way . . . .and I rebuild the brakes in time, and I dont have a blow out, and the diff holds out, and the exhaust stays on, and I dont take something reliable and boring instead

Good to know there are a few other old TVRs going down. I'd like to make the trip in mine before I have to sell it.
