Hi all.
I have somehow picked up a program called BPS PC Firewall (Bullet Proof Soft).
When I fire up my PC, this damn thing pops up and loads, thus slowing down the loading of everything else.
Even when I click the delete cross in the corner, it reappears for 2 or 3 more times, before vanishing.
I have gone into "programs" and tried to uninstal it, but it says that I must close it down first.
I would if the bloody thing told me how to.
Any ideas on how to remove this little barsteward pronto?

have you tried Adaware and SpyBot - between them they seem to clear the drains of stuff like this pretty effectively

ctrl + alt + delete, task manager. Click on the program and click end task.

Program should end then you can uninstall it.cool

if uninstall doesn't work,
reboot into SAFE mode(use by pass start up files if option exists),
try uninstall there, if no luck, boot to command prompt only, rename firewall exe,
reboot now exe doesn't exist you should be able to boot normally, rename exe then use uninstall.

It's most likely sat in the little tray to the bottom right. Failing that it's installed as a service and thus needs a little manipulation.
