I have a Chimaera and a Triumph T509 Speed Tripple, it turns out tricky d has a Griffith and a T509. The British link is probably coincidental ..... so to the others out there with TVR and bike, what was your bike choice and any particular reasons.

Mine were simple, since I started on bikes in the 70s I wanted twin headlights, a very fat back tyre, and noise, so a Speed Tripple with race can, clip-ons and rear sets does the trick.

Chimaera 5L and Suzi' SV650S (first bike, so nothing to scary)

Why? I commute on the SV and tiv' has won me over to the benefit of low end torque for lazy motoring, hence a twin over a four. Oh yes, and V-twins can be made to sound nice, just like any other V engine.

Cheers,
Steve.

Chim and (did have) a Kawasaki GPZ600. Would never have a British bike - smelly, oily 'orrible things – always breaking down

Mate did have a Royal Enfield once though.

Cerbera 4.5LW in Reflex Purple and a Honda Fireblade in Repsol colours. I have had a bike and car since the age of 17. Now 34 and still alive (touch wood).

Steve T - agree on the parallel twins. I've got a Laverda 750s with open pipes and it sounds great.
With any luck, I'll also have a Griff 500 with sports exhaust to accompany it in the garage by the w/e. Suppose I was influenced the other way; Kawasaki 9R had no soul, or low down torque, so I chopped it for the Laverda which has, so I'm trading up to a car with the same characteristics.
Darren.

As K3NJW has said, I've a Griff and a Triumph T509, I wrote my T595 off 3 years ago.
For my money they have more character than the alternatives and the styling is fantastic on both.
Also had a Triumph Stag at one stage. Now I analyse it I've bought british a hell of a lot and not consciously.

How are the clip on's with the T509 Nigel, I've been weighing them up for ages.

Managed to get them from matching years...

98 Cerbera 4.2
98 T509

Exchanged the T595 for a T509, thought that as there was no fairing I ride slower.. Then brought the Cerbera....

Always thought the T509 with a sports exhaust was loud... then got the Cerbera with a sports exhaust.. makes the bike seem very quiet...

Griff 500 and last year sold an R6 - rice burners have no soul.

If I had the dosh to hand I'd love another Ducati though - nearly as reliable as a TVR

Currently a Tuscan (Saffron Pearl) and MV Agusta (www.qualityscrew.com)
But, as it's the 'New Toys' time of the year I am awaiting delivery of my new Tuscan S and TOMORROW my new BRIGHT ORANGE Z1000 Hooligan tool arrives
Previously I had a 5ltr Griff (Purple Paradise) and a 916SP Ducati.
I've usually chosen my vehicles to replicate the women I go out with:-Fast, Exotic, Expensive and Unreliable!

Cerbera 4.5 RR
Triumph Speed Triple

Guess it is common! Got the S3 because of huge torque being so great on the road, and lack of fairing to help save licence. Didn't really work as expected - no speeding tickets in 3 years for the Cerbera, several on bike!

Just sold Cerbie, now car with stroked Hayabusa engine - Radical SR3.
