As close as possible without going over.

It's only an oil change

I just sent an email to the dealer I'm nearly at 700 now and the trip is 280 miles so i'll be really close and that also means not driving it at all over here until i can get to bring it away

You have an 'official' leeway of 200 miles. It is slightly more than an oil change, all fluids, bolt check, alignments and most importantly, valve clearances to check/adjust plus any odds and ends that the owner has noticed. I hope that this helps and best regards.

If they have to check the valve clearances, do you have to leave it with them over night.
Just a thought, sure I've seen that some where on here. smash

I'm sure that the valve clearances are checked with the engine stone cold so normal procedure is to leave with the dealers overnight. You'll want that service out the way before the Celtic Gathering though, so that you can open it up a bit on the Saturday run.

Funky you also have an extremely good authorised service agent in Torqueflite (02897528991) just outside Ballygowan just 'up the road' from you :-) that can do your servicing. They look after all the NI TVRCC cars and have done some great work on my Tuscan & Sagaris.

That's if you don't mind not going back to your supplying dealer.

They did some pretty major things to the Tusc involving engine out and on another occasion removing and replacing the entire wiring loom - you can imagine what a 'mare that was!

They of course do warrenty work. On my last visit they replaced the wiper linkage on the Sag whilst I waited.

Good luck.

Gary.

Tangoed ~ Yes indeed i am spoilt for choice

Gary ~ Unfortunatly i wouldn't be prepared to go back to the 'supplying' dealer. I had to abandon the first dealer unfortunatly See belfast is 6 hours away anyway so i'd rather go over to the uk and make a bit of a weekend of it by london and get someone i knew and trusted to do the work. That being said i will probably try them at some stage if the unfortunate happens and i end up having to call the aa Do they have a website? I may get in touch and see what the deal is!

N.I. is the UK - we are loyal to the Queen/God/Ulster etc - not sure in which order You'd enjoy the drive up and down and miss out on ferry madness.

No website - they are a father and son family run outfit and have been looking after TVRs for a long, long time. David & Greg Connolly - give them a call. There is of course Parkgate TVR in Belfast where I bought my Sag, but I have still been using David & Greg as I have had nothing but good experiences in the past.

It's always interesting to see what cars they have in when I visit - normally at least a couple of TVRs, and have spotted Maserati, Noble, Aston Martin etc all being fettled.

Tony and Hexham are a great TVR set-up no doubt. But they may not understand de needs of de Oirish!

Aw but sure now the lads at Torqueflyte will wash yer beauty down in nothing but draft Guinness, use Bushmills Single Malt in place of the inferior Mobil 1, put shamrocks in your glovebox and give you all the Boxsty you can carry in your boot!

Hehe washed with guiness? I like it! I've booked in at Racing Green, i had a ton of peple say they were excellent, and i'm used to going to the uk with the lotus. But they sound like a brilliant place so i'll definitly be popping up to them!
