Pretty straight forward really. Glad i made the effort to take the chassis off. On closer inspection there are a few bits that really need attention (mines a 95 500). A few things i would have done differently in hindsight, and lots i need to replace and re route!!!

Thanks!!The only reason i bought the place i am in was so that i could fit i a BIG garage, Trouble is no matter how much space you still manage to fill it up!!!! Out of sight are two Honda Fireblades, a Triumph sprint, and Citroen diesel

I almost know what you mean... only my tiny garage is full of mower, freezer, bench, etc. - nothing as exciting as yours

I am also in the process of doing the same and I picked up my chassis from the blasters yesterday. As for blasting don't take the first quote and dont tell them what car it is from as they seem to want to charge more, I paid £150 for wishbones, anti-roll bars, uprights, and the chassis which might be a little O.T.T as i had a quote from a one man band for @ £90 but he was on jury duty for 2 weeks, my worst was £450!!!. What finish are you going for? powdercoat was my first choice but the guy said you would be back to square one in a year as it will not stop rust and water creep once chipped. can anyone also advise how much por-15 is needed to spay the chassis and wishbones with 3 coats?

To be honest i havent touched the engine, i ll move onto it when the car goes for a respray. Still havent decided what to do!!! How s yours coming on??
As you know I have the bigger injectors and fuel reg, gonna get the Ecu from DT then get someone to fit all.
As the Ecu will have a standard mapping I'll RR it and map it.
Still on the look out for a bigger plenum
must find a hose to replace the AFM aswell. Apart from that I need to take it out for a blatt

We're the same. Bought a double garage with small two bedroom bungalow, filled garage with Griffith, Scorpion and three motorbikes, and have had to build a lean-to onto the side of the garage for the mower, strimmer, fourth motorbike, workbench, etc!

I remember you opening a thread about what coating to go for!! I ve got a mate who does shot blasting for a living, so he will do the blasting for me. Talking to him he recommends powder coat, as the process is ALOT stronger than it used to be. All depends on how the chassis is prepared. I had a GT6 chassis blasted and powder coated in black two years ago, was a very good finish and seemed strong (i hit it with a hammer and it didnt chip) So i will have the chassis done in silver powder coat with a satin clear top coat. Then i will waxoil the lot!!!That SHOULD keep the rust away!! Goods luck with yours
