GT2 Cerbs

Apologies guys if there is any information about these on here but I just can't find it. Was watching a brief video recently with a GT2 cerb in it and remembered seeing them (often piloted by a certain Mr Needell) when a spotty teenager at British GT championship rounds. What engines did they have? (The one in the video appeared to have an AJP6) How powerful were they? Did they meet with any notable success?

Theres only been a couple of race cerbs. The martin short car which was quite different to a standard cerb. The belgian GT cerb. There may be one other but ive never been able to find any info on it.

Maybe its was a reference to one of the (reportedly) 10 Cerb GTs? Someone on here has one? Looked after by TCS

Not sure of the engine though.

Thats the belgian gt car. Ran a 4.5 V8 from what ive read. Ws driven by phil andrews and mark hales. Dave pinkney was also ment to drive.

That kind of looks like the one that I'm thinking of. The car that I remember Needell driving was at 1998 Silverstone (see entry list in link below). Surely that must have been a V8 given the date?

Doesn't look like it was wildly succesful, only running for half the season and retiring from its last three races

I allways though colin blower had driven this car. If you go onto his website there is this car in a picture of his workshop. I think its the same one!! This car has been everywhere!

well im building a cerb to race in so would like to know about the spec of the car. Engine mods? Chassis mods?? Any info on the aero mods would be great!

If possible, can we also have more pics of the Typhon's "pyramid" section in the background??

I know the rollcentre Cerb featured this, perhaps TVR took this idea off them and put it to good use in what is meant to be thier stiffest road car?

The car was on display at hexham HC for ages i think, and appeared at the london TVR showroom launch also? It's floating around and about somewhere .. maybe track it down and go see it in the flesh? Even despite the best efforts of colin blower (no slouch as a driver and a gifted set-up man who's very well regarded) it was never a good racecar. i saw it at many races whilst entered by harogate HC (i used to work there) but can't ever remember it finishing a race that I was at. maybe should i have stayed away lol!

Seeing tiff needell's name on the results chart reminds of when he used to occasionally drive the second harrogate HC race tuscan .. instead of "low oil prssure" as a warning on the Stack dash the "have-a-laugh" mechanics had changed it to read "PIT YOU BASTARD!"

Wasnt the Colin Blower/HHC Cerb always down on power due to the restrictors it had to run?? As I understand it, the regs at the time didnt exactly favour a 4.5/5.0 V8... by all accounts it wasnt the most reliable car on the grid either, which didnt help!

The Stack dash in my Challenge Tuscan also has this feature. Along with "KETTLE'S BOILED" as a temperature warning.
