I understand you get a camping allocation, which covers space for 1 car and 1 tent, if this right?

If so then is there a "plot" for your tent, and if the tent is outsized would you get charged for two? If there is a plot, can you put more than one tent inside that plot?

A few of us are thinking about going and we have access to a 4 man tent which is pretty large - but would prefer to take the two 2 man tents (Which in theory cover pretty much the same floor space)

Thanks in advance

Phil

The camping permits admit one vehicle. Plots are not marked. You need to get there as early as possible to get the best pitch. There are no limits to the number of tents or people, providing you all fit in one car. The only site with marked pitches I think is Houx but you will struggle to find any tickets I would think. I normally camp on Houx Annexe and as long as you get there on Thursday or before you will find a reasonable space. Each person then needs to buy a General Admission ticket to allow entry to the circuit. These cost about 50 euros and can always be purchased on the gate.

from the look of all the 2007 info on the le mans website the standard sized pitches in most of the campsites are 7m x 7m (35sqm) which is not a bad size. Whether the frenchies will be marking these out however is doubtful. Maybe in some of the smaller sites but I doubt the likes of Bleu or BSJ will be.
