Got my car back from Top Cats yesterday, and the clutch, UJ, PAS, bonnet and speedo and various other things have been sorted. It feels solid as a rock.

Then I thought "Sh*t, insurance soon", so my last company quoted me £1800, and other companies quoted me between £2000 and £3000, then I phoned Sunninghill who quoted me £1331!!! Yay!! Includes europian cover, track days and stuff. £500 excess but what the hell! Not bad considering 27, 3yr NCB (lost my full NCB a while back!), previous DR10 and recent SP30 conviction. And told them about the mods on the Chimaera too.

All I can say is . . . . .

Dan,
Nice that the beast is sorted and just in time for the sunny weekend too. Best you put some smiles on it.

Got my insurance through Sunninghill and apart from the fact that they can't seem to get the registration number right on cover notes they send me, they're top notch and bloody cheap. I'm 27 also, no NCB and paying £840!!!

It's a deal, a steal...

DR10 = Driving or attempting to drive with alcohol level above limit apparently

Not bad, considering!

DR10 - yep, i was a very naughty boy 5 years ago and got caught driving to work the morning after a party. Doh!!! Been paying through the nose in insurance since!! Also during the 2 year ban, i lost my full no claims.

You’re not the only one Fish used to always complain that they got his registration wrong on documents when he had the Tuscan. Hopefully they now will get it right on the new one.

Sunninghill are definitely the best insurers for TVR owners.

Before I passed my test, whilst still a provisional driver we phoned up for a joke to put me on the insurance for the Tuscan, it only cost £30 a quarter (it’s true). We have recently phoned up to see about adding me to the T350 insurance now I have been driving for 14 months and it will cost about £200 till October.
If we were already married, there is no extra cost.

I'm not going to say "unlucky" or "serves you right" because I don't know the story but I'm fairly sure I speak for most people when I say, it could so easily have been any one of most of us
