The radiator is not out of a rover (it was but modified), it was modified by TVR to fit the car. If you need yours re-coring it costs about £150 or you can get an ali one for about £350

If the unit andy suggests as got the same core area with inlets and outlets the same size it will do the job perfectly, and you will save money the stock parts in these cars are hardly cutting edge.

My car was over heating and I had a leak in the rad.
I brought one for £60 from an off roader supplies near birmingham for a discovery. It fitted straight in with no visible difference between the amount of channels running through the rad.
I have been using this rad for about a year now and have not had any over heating issues at all...!!!

The V8 a goes in a discovery so why shouldnt the radiator and fans from a discovery be good enough to cool it anymore?
I know TVR's get hot under the bonnet but i am sure the discoverys in africa that are off road get hot as well???

Aa A TVR & Discovery owner I can assure you the outlet is not the same on my cars (but the LR has A/C) and this is the where its the ++tightest fit into the car. Which Discovery model is believed to fit?

If you can get a new Disc Rad for £60 it would still be worth having a rad specialist braize on your old outlet elbow (which I believe is the accepted change that TVR made) - but make sure he will be happy to this at a reasonable cost.

I have a spare rad here in Chesterfield if you are in a rush.

I shall go home at dinner time and see if i can find the receipt.
You may have a TVR and a discovery but i brought my new rad from a 4x4 suppliers...not TVR or a TVR suppliers.
I took my old rad out and replaced with the new one...EXACTKY the same...no difference...right down to the locating pins on the bottom to the 4 6mm threaded holes on the top for the fans.

What year is your disco...?
I think my rad was from an older type...

I shall have to take pics i think!!!

It's off a mark one V8 Disco and or Range Rover Classic. There are a few different rads depending on spec ie man or auto, air con or not. We need the most basic one. I cant see what the factory did to it in the way of a mod. It looks the same to me.

I am sure that is the one i got.

If anyone can tell us what the difference is between a TVR and standard it would be most helpfull.
I even managed to build a alluminium fan box to go on the back of my new rad and it still clears the outlet at the bottom.
