My car has now had it's new paint and I want to protect it. Has anyone had 'paintshield' done to their p&j ?? and if so, a full frontal or part frontal? Tom at 'Paintshied' has told me of new 997 gt3s being done ....anyone here?? please help soon as I have to make my mind up asap...yes

Yep - had it done a while back. Joe is a superb fitter and the quality of work is excellent. Protection is good, and it is invisible for all intents and purposes. I think it's well worth the investment rather than getting the front of the car resprayed every year. Much less hassle too.

Yes had the full frontal done on my 996 GT3 RS, I was pleased with the result. I know of at least two more GT3's that had the treatment and one 964RS.

Had my car done a couple of years ago. Does not look so good after a while, it peels at the edges and all the dirt gets caught in it. You can not clean the edges because it makes the plastic come off more. Would not have it done again on my next car.

Had the full frontal on my 997 C4S: wing mirrors, full front wings, full bonnet and full front valance. Quality of fit and finish is superb - and the customer care offered by Tom and his team is second to none. Don't believe the stories about peeling etc - the 3M film used by 'Paintshield' is state of the art. I could wash and wax the protected areas of car, using either Meguiars or Swissol products, just as I dealt with the unprotected areas. If in doubt, give Tom a ring; just look for the Paintshield website for his contact details. He'll tell you all you need to know - and explain the warranty that is included with the product. You get what you pay for - and, although paintshield may be seen as expensive, it's the premium product and doas what it says!
