Autosport show not that great this year, did anyone think the same. 
Must admit that I thought that it was slightly better than last year - more cars on stands to see, for a start. But then I thought that it was atrocious last year so there is still room for improvement. But given that it costs about £8K for a stand big enough to have a car on (I think), is it any surprise that the number of actual cars on display is limited. Good to see the Le Mans cars.
Autosport International is a trade show and always will be. It was never designed to be a public focussed event, OK the live event tries hard, but at the end of the day its about developing B2B deals.
MPH in the autumn is far better and more aimed at the consumer, while The Festival of Speed at Goodwood is the ultimate, though itself has become a victim of itself and is far to busy these days. I would suggest you go to it every three years, as they tend to repeat a lot...

I thiknk it was quite good. The 2006 show was pretty poor to be honest and this year was much better than that for definite, the cars on display were better and as someone else stated there were finally no bling stands. I enjoyed but once again they lied about which drivers would be there, i only saw Jamie Green and Guy Smith, no sign of Anthony Davidson, Johnny Herbert, Jason Plato or anyone. That sucked badly. They said the next signing would be 12:00 and i was waiting for 45 minutes for that! They lost the drivers, how the hell do you do that.

I enjoyed it. Had a chat to a few people I'd wanted to speak to for a while. The biggest downside for me is, not being in the trade and therefore not being able to get in on the Thurs/Fri, I miss all the engineering stands which are the ones I actually want to see most. 
Must try harder to get a trade ticket next year.

Better than last year. Don't think you'd catch me traveling down from Scotland for it though Jason. Dad decided not to bother coming down this year, he's coming down for Stonleigh in March instead as that seems to be the heart of club racing as far as shows go now..

I had a great day out. Always look forward to it as an oasis in a desert of winter soccer. Plenty of things to see, some wonderful Le Mans cars on display (even if I've seen many of them before I'll never tire of most of them), got my copy of Motorsport signed by Guy Smith and had a good chat with him - very down to earth, said he wants to go to LM as a spectator one year 
Spent some cash on a bullet cam set-up for the Elise, enjoyed the live action (always welcome, it sets me up for the year), in fact the only disappointment is that I missed the 'Ask Nigel' feature on the Autsport stand.

Went up to the show with my good lady. Not been for 10 years, so I quite enjoyed it. The Aston was awesome, and an excellent display from the Impreza. A tad expensive though. Next up - The Historic motorsport show at Stoneleigh!
