Network LLC Header mode question

My new D Link router has asked for the setting for the LLC header mode. Either LLC or VC-Mux.
The default was LLC but my old 3com was at VC-MUX. It runs on both settings but which is best.
ISP = Pipex.

D-Link kit (bah!) always seems to have LLC set as default, which isn't ideal. Not sure whether it will make any difference but the setting should be VC-MUX, it might work with LLC but I'd imagine it to be less reliable.

As far as I know, the only UK ISP to use LLC is one in Hull where they have their own telecoms network.
