Anyone seen the 996 GT3 RS at Reading OPC. If so, comments would be appreciated.

might go and look tomorrow, bit pricey for the miles though!

Yes...

Front end respay (for stone chips), new discs all around, new tyres, has done a lot of track work but was well looked after. OPC paid £58k for it.

Be interested in your views guys. Buy from an OPC where the car has had money spent on it or hunt for a low mileage and buy privately? It seems you can pick up low mileage examples for arounf £64 BUT, no OPC.

I would personally buy a car like this from an OPC purely for the warranty. (I bought mine from OPC) The engines on these cars are very good but cost upwards of £30k if they need replacing. Gearboxes are also very expensive.

Don't want to get into the pros and cons of warranties but this is a car that has been used on track as have most GT3s / RSs.

With that said, I wouldn't pay list for it either. Offer them £65k? £69k is too steep even from an OPC IMHO.

Agreed but you don't need to buy a car from an OPC to get the Porsche warranty though. I'd also be surprised if most RS owners don't keep their cars under warranty anyway, which is transferable in private sale.

If you pay £69k, you've lost £9k as soon as you drive off from the OPC so remember to ask for free mats.

They get abit twitchy past 120.

I had to back off at 140 as the car was changing lanes by itself!

Do Strasse in Leeds still have one ?

That seemed fairly inexpensive when I last saw it.
