No, but if it's any help I was quoted £200 to re-stitch the rear screen by someone up here who is well-known in local TVR circles.

Mine started coming away about 18 months ago and I used clear silicone sealant to glue the perspex back onto the fabric. Because silicone sealant isn't actually an adhesive (although it works well as one) it can be peeled off easily when the time comes to properly restitch it.

Thing is, I've never got round to having it restitched. On 2 occasions now it's got slightly worse and I've just redone it with sealant again.

The going rate is from £150 upwards.

The repair/replace rear plastic window (the proper repair) does need the hood to be to be removed from the car to be stiched and that's the rub !!

So long as your "repairer" appreciates what he's taking on then under £200 is a good deal.

I was quoted £225 and had to bring the hood to the repairer already removed !!! Found another for £150 who did it all. !!

It's quite a tussle getting to the hood bolts and removing the wiring from the interior light.

Enjoy.

if its just the stitching , go to the yacht chandlery get a half moon needle (half moon shape , goes in and out of hole easy when material is under tension)strong and stainless steel, and a palm ( strong giant thimble which is in the middle of your palm so can push hard) , and some black thread for Bimini's / sprayhoods from sail maker or chandlery . If you follow the original stitching holes you will not be able to tell the difference . The yarn is also much stronger, though same thickness as original . It will coast you about £15 .Its the same as repairing boat sail and hood / covers, easy 1/2 hr.Try www.mailspeed.com.

Noticed that mine's coming apart as well this weekend, figured I might as well replace the rear screen at the same time. Can you buy the screens separately or this a job best left to the professionals?

I paid £200 on short notice to have a new rear window put into my S3. The place took off the rear hood completely, scraped all the old glue off, then re glued it with a new window.

Its o.k for repairing small- ish areas but for a hole window best to leave that for the pro's.Would not want to mess up a new screen.
