Don't know if it's the same on a Chimaera but on the Griff there is no specific switch for them but they come on for 10 mins. every time you switch on the heater blower of heated seats.

'97 Chim mine never did anything no matter what I pressed, pulled or stroked....

Then my drivers side mirror got broken off, so I had a brand new one fitted. Surprise surprise the new wiring connectors didnt match the original TVR ones so an auto sparks rewired everything. And hey presto since he did that my mirrors get very toasty for 10 mins after engine switch on. I discovered this first time I took it for a drive and both mirror glasses fell out ! Seems that my B&Q double sided tape wasnt up to being warmed up ..

Early cars - mirrors come on for 10min or so after starting - if you open the doors it defeats the timer. Timer relay is in aux relay panel under the dash cover.

Not uncommon for these to be disconnected. The constant switching on weakens the adhesive used to stick on the mirror, so i was told to unplug them to stop them comming loose.

Also, if you do stick them on with the wires unplugged and they come loose, they'll fall clear of the car and not flap about against the paintwork. Mirror glass is much cheaper than a door respray!
