This must be a scam. I think the car in PH classifieds belongs to 350matt.
Same car in ebay.
Something not right with this

Am I missing something here?
Obviously a scam but how? The way I see it they dont even have possession of the car. Is anybody gonna be dumb enough to part with £6k without even checking the car out first?

Didn't see the listing but don't these car ads usually say something like...... £500 deposit to be paid via Paypal immediately at auction end.

Can't be many easier ways to make a monkey out of some poor unsuspecting soul!!

Ooh, just realised thats gotta double meaning.

On the subject of cheap cerbs, that Craft TVR is up for grabs again at reasonable money... granted its an old car, and "rasberry" but those stage two heads made for huge torque. thumbup

surely not Ben .. the last owner who had the mapping said he was selling it early this year, but i thought he'd already sold it and the owner was on here a few weeks ago .. is it the new owner again selling it after only a couple of weeks?

Can’t see the link, but if it’s in the ashtray position then read on.

Paul at Austec does them; well Mark Adams designed them as you have full control over the ECU for your fans. You can turn them on when you like and set then to come on at different temps, and make the fans come on half speed, so they actually move air round the engine at different temperatures. I remember talking to Mark about them some 2 years ago as he was developing them, back then. Paul has fitted then to a couple of Cerbs I think. He was waiting for parts as mine is on the list to get it done.

This is hard wired to the ECU, so you do have to get them fitted, it’s not a case of 'Plug and Play'.

I get very fidgety about the capillary (spl) tube and engine temps, so I want a digital one. Usually sits in the ashtray position.

I had a Mark Adams fan controller system fitted, because I want oil temp and pressure in place of the normal water temp and oil pressure gauge. I'm also a believer in keeping the cooling in system in top order and using it to best effect to reduce gauge paranoia.

This system is fantastic. Despite all the sitting in traffic at London Thunder and heading home (about 6 hours of it!), the car was never fazed, most of the time only needing half speed fans to keep things in check, with the occasional 30 second stint of full speed to keep a lid on things. It's fail safe, so if the temp sender feeding the fan controller fails, the fans go on full speed, plus the ECU fan settings work independently. It worked just the same in 40+ degree heat at Le Mans - if only the driver coped as well as the car!

Top job Mark!

Steve.

These sound really good. Are they easily available and what's the cost?

I can't rememeber what it cost, so you'd be best to call Austec where Mark visits regularly (01293531080) or the main man (via Tornado Systems 01694 720144). I do recall it wasn't cheap, but well worth it in alleviating stress.

Steve.

Anyone who puts an oscenity like that in the middle of their dashboard, should be shot, story, end of.

There you go, telling it like it is.
