530d servicing near Milton Keynes
Discussion
Hi all,
Does anyone have any recomendations for a specialist who can tackle the oil service on my 530d and give it a once over for any problems? I've just bought it, and it needs a service doing sooner rather than later + would be good to get some peace of mind that it isn't about to fall apart...
Keen NOT to use a BMW dealer as I'm really looking for a good budget option that who I can build a relationship with...
Cheers...

Try these, personally had mixed results from them (1st time they were good, second time cr*p).

If you don't mind travelling a little way, J&D Autos (between High Wycombe and Princes Risborough), are highly rated. Good value, good service. They looked after my old 6 series very well indeed. It can only be about 30 miles from MK.
I don't think they have a website, but this link should take you to review with the contact details.

As a recommendation, I used J&D vehicle repairs near High Wycombe yesterday for my Inspection II and MOT on the 530d - can highly recommend them. Decent guys, know their stuff and you get to talk to them about the car and see the parts that came off rather than be fobbed off by a receptionist...

They definitely aren't a main dealer (dusty unit on a low rent trading estate), but they know what they're doing... Even had an old 1990 316 that I could borrow as a courtesy car for the day...

My 525i has just gone into BMWorx in Stoke Mandeville (nr Aylesbury) for an MOT this morning.
They came highly recommended from the previous owner and had a large selection of e39's in for servicing/work/mot's when I dropped my car off this morning.
Another vote for BMWorks. Never heard anything but praise for them. They came highly recommended from the previous owner and had a large selection of e39's in for servicing/work/mot's when I dropped my car off this morning.
Avoid PCS, they are the most expensive indy in the county and offer the worst service, ask for a price first and then ring the other indies..do a search for them in BMW Land and e36coupe.com and read some of the problems people have had with them.
MTec in Northampton are my fave indy, if you want to travel another 30mins up the road.
