We're going on Weds. I've never been before but I figured we'd get a good pitch and have a few days to chill out and make a decent holiday out of it rather than a long weekend. Your camping ticket covers the whole time so why not?!

This is what I was wondering, mainly the camping side of things and how soon you are able to start camping there - want to go for full deal this year scrutineering, parade and all - just hope I wont be sick of it all come 4pm saturday laugh

We head down Tuesday night to Ashford for a few beers, then get the ferry Wednesday morning to arrive at the circuit sometime in the afternoon. Set up camp, get some ale and watch the first practice session.

Last year we got to HA at about 4pm and had the pick of where to set-up on a pretty much empty site. I expect Karting to be pretty much the same as this come June time.

Where doing the same, we are staying at Houx which I believe has marked bays which should make things easier. This is the first time we are camping as usually we have gone by coach and arrived Saturday afternoon

We leave Hull on the Monday night, drive down all the nice B road and stay just over in a hotel halfway on the Tuesday, we will get to the campsite by Midday Wednesday, on the way home, leave on the Monday, overnight in a F1 hotel, then a drive through the countryside back to Zeebrugge, arrive home Wednesday, A great time spent away from SYMBO.

always go down on the monday. Get to the campsire early Tuesday. Loads of spaces but usually a surcharge for the extra night.

This year, were sailing on the Sunday and gonna take 2 days to get to Le Mans .. were taking an extended tour of Northern France rather than the usual 4 hour blast from the ferry

have done friday, thurs, weds and tuesday which we did last year. took it nice and easy on the twisties all the way down but got there in plenty of time to set up camp and then proceded to get very drunk!

was nice as got chance to settle down and kinda do nothing, it was actually really relaxing for me as just had a week from hell at work!

that said, probably aiming for a thursday departure for le mans this year as we miss the convoys on the way down... we'll see!

going down tuesday morning with about 6-7 others.

we dont camp at the circuit though. stay at a chautau about 15 mins drive away.

means you can get away from the madness if you need too and have a swimming pool, bar, pool table and nice warm showers.

Usually B&B Folkestone Wed night, 0630 train Thursday morning, lazy lunch, get there around 5pm.

Last year though, we went mid afternoon Wed, drove coast road for an hour or so driving then stayed in Chateaux Wednesday night, lovely restaurant for supper, lie-in and on to Le Mans. Carrefour for supplies, arrived Houx 4 ish. Worked really well.

Will probably do the same this year
