My passenger side door is so far forward that it has cracked the front panel to give itself room to close. I need to pull the whole door back about 4mm. In the bible it says itis easy enough to do, and it would be if I could find the door hanging bolts .... please help where are the b*****s.

Also thinking of buying a power devil tool kit from Argos (£79.95), anyone know if this is a good make.

Thanks - wishicouldansweraquestioninsteadofaskallthetime.

Just out of interest, regarding tools, I was browsing the Snap-On site last night, thinking, OK, I know they are expensive, but surely not that bad.

Full Toolkit, yours for just 23 grand

Stick with Argos.

That's only £11,500 each and we could probably talk them into a discount

Dont buy cheap tools, they are a waste of money. Buy a few good ones as required and build up your tool kit slowly. Cheap tools are exactly that

Halfords Professional tools are made by Britool which is now owned by Facom and are excellent. Facom are a French equivalent of Snap On and supply many F1 teams

Enough about tools!!
With regards to the door, various threads about this already. Take off the door panel, stick your hand in the front of the door and have a good feel around. Should feel the hinge with one centre bolt and one either side. Do the bottom hinge first by slacking off the outside bolts, and move the door back a bit by tilting it upwards then tighten the bolts. Then do the top and tilt it downwards to bring it back. All I can say is its a bit of a laugh doing this especially when you realise the space you have got to loosen the nuts with a socket. By the way delay it a week so the penetrating oil you are going to squirt all over the bolts has a chance to soak in!!!!!

Thanks for the info. WOW I guessed right then. Took the panel off (1.5 hrs) couldn't reach the hidden bolt, only to find the six bolts you mentioned. Talk about a tight fit, thought B*g*e* it and put the whole thing back together and gave it a nice polish. TVR certainly dont make it easy but I appreciate you telling me I was on the right lines.

markbigears & pies - looks like we bought some decent tools!

I've been quite happy with the ones I've bought... REALLY like the ratchet spanners!
