Honda SP1 What should I do?
Discussion
Been commuting daily into London on my SP1 for nearly 3 years. Not the ideal bike for this. So time for a change. So put new tyres on, (needed soon) and sell for about £3500. Or do I hang on to it. Keep it in the garage. Son and I cycle most weekends so doesn't get used then. But when I'm too old or cant keep up with son I would use it at weekends then. What I'm trying to say is, shall I keep it, will it become a classic? Will I regret selling it? Whats the unbiased opinion of SP1's pistonheaders?
Thanks.

I think it does have a case to be slightly collectable in time....( Honda`s rival to the fabled 996 ) I think the SP2 had a few tweaks which improved it over the previous model...which I suppose counts against it....If you have not already done so...race pipes do make`m sound intoxicating....and powdercoated wheels (Gold in your case looks very nice)or similar can transform the look and character of the machine to renew your passion for it...I think it also depends if there are other models that are tugging at your heart strings....I like the speed and light weight of more modern stuff...but they all look like 600`s...I prefer the slightly beefier bikes of the late 90`s...

I'll tell you why i'm thinking wether it will become a classic/collectable. I've been riding motorbikes for 32 years. So i'm getting on! Maybe time to keep something (spend less) and use occasionally. I have some Harris Titanium Race exhausts that came with the bike. Sounds sooooo nice. To loud for everyday use. Only put them on for the occasional weekend blat. By the time I spend money to ready the bike to sell, I'll get £3250? Its a bike with character. We'll see.
