Wireless help cos i'm a numpty
Discussion
I'm a numpty because as I was playing about in the basic setup of my linksys wireless router thinking I'll be clever
I clicked on mac filter(so only known mac addresses could use my network) and thinking it already knew my mac address I clicked save changes.
Mr numpty now has no wireless net my network is invisible so not found
Ive tried the reset button but doesnt seem to do anything, when I hit the button on the front I get to see the network and then enter my wpa key but it never signs in then it becomes invisible again.
Any thoughts.... besides calling me a t

I think the only way you will be able to change the router will be to plug a network cable in from your computer to the router. You will then be able to access the router and change the wireless settings. You will have to make sure that the network adapter IP is similar to the router IP address e.g if router address is 192.168.0.1 it will need to be 192.168.0.(2-251). It will probably be best to plug in the network cable and restart your computer if the IP configuration is on auto then it should automatically set the IP address.
Rednut05 is right if you switch it on and while holding the reset button for about 20ish seconds the lights flash red and it resets. You should be able to plug into the router via a Ethernet cable and change the mac filtering without having to reset it or if you have another computer already on the network access the router from there. I used to demo the things for Linksys so if you get any problems PM me and I see if I can help out.
