belt alignment

My water pump belt doesn't align quite right and is wearing unevenly on the edge. The tensioner aligns with the pump but the pulley on the camshaft is out. There's no adjustment on the cam pulley and everything is tight etc, is it just how they are?

I had this on mine, also when you start up from cold you get quite a lot of noise until the belt warms up. Kerridges sorted it when it went for its service, believe it or not they tapped it on further with a block of wood, been perfect ever since. The pulley is not on a keyway or tapered shaft it is just a very tight fit, you could i suppose use a puller if yours is on to far, hope this helps.
