SPECS on M1

A colleague reports that SPECS cameras have appeared on the M1 northbound and the M18/M1 interchange southbound around J31/32.

I think they're there in place prior to a marathon 11 months of roadworks .Looking at the state of them at the moment I doubt they're active yet.

Fantastic - just when the roadworks on the flyover were cleared...bloody great. How long is the stretch?

Mind, it might be ok - with the number of people who'll use the M18 / A1 instead it might be quicker to go through the SPECS on the M1 and then enjoy the run to Leeds before merging with the A1!

I think it's going to be a biggy,the first sign is way before J31 and they seem to go up to the Parkway.

Part of a long term plan to widen the M1 to 4 lanes between J31 and J42!!!

TBH, as much as that will cause hell in the short-medium term, I'm happy as I often use that stretch and it's true about the merging...we all know how well a large percentage of the population manage to merge with free-flowing busy traffic on motorways!
