ACT or SP Sports exhaust?

I really need a new exhaust (cat back) and I was wondering if there has been any comparisons done on these two. I've got a linked decat at the minute and was planning on a remap and short induction kit from Joolz at the beginning of the summer, so i'd be interested in which one offers the bigger power increase and also any feedback on how each one sounds compared to standard.

Best system by consensus seems is linked de-cat with a standard back box. De cats and sports exhaust is LOUD, and I mean LOUD!!

Thats what I've got at the minute, I'm quite happy with the volume. The linked de-cat is relatively quiet at low revs.
My sports pipes are bent to buggerey and have been repaired twice in the 6 months I've had the car. So I thought I would treat myself to a new set before I get the car remapped.

The SP system does look nice and with noise becoming an issue at trackdays, with the neighbours etc it certainly makes this an attractive proposition.

I've seen a car with the ACT kit on, and currently have a car in with the SP system .. in a couple of days I'll have a bit of info from teh dyno runs if anyone wants to PM me. cheers

Where can I get a standard back box from?

I have new stainless centre pipes but they're of the larger diameter and I need to change the back box to fit.

I'll have a spare 4.2 back box in good nick left over if anyone's interested?

The "system" price is for de-cat link pipes, intermediate link pipes, back box link pipes and back box (i.e. manifold back). It's a beautiful piece of engineering in every sense and worth every penny... we think!

saw that too, I assume as Tims got it on ebay its been possibly been traded in for big bore system, which are around the £500 mark afaik

I would be very interested in the results Joolz. Id also be interested in your advice too especially as I was planning on giving you a bell for the rest of the tuning work i.e. induction, remap etc.

I'd be interested in this, I assume it'll be back to back tests on the same car and one not mapped specifically for either system i.e. standard map, unless you map for both cars separately and then test .
