Deffo sounds like a scam, either that or he is a retard......or it's stolen

You could always say I'll meet you and should it be as described & I agree go to a bank with you and see what he comes back with (more likely than not he'll make an excuse)

either that or arrange to meet and have a couple of bobbies waiting with you

I've seen this before. It's a legitimate account that's been hijacked. Typically, they use accounts with a good feedback history but ask buyers to use an email address to make offers, rather than through eBay. Definite scam.

Yup, had my account hacked a few months ago - they utilise your good feedback and sell scams, hoping you don't realise. I was lucky and was sitting at my desk when e-mail after e-mail after e-mail said "thanks for listing this item...."

Yes, scammers get you account details through "phishing" activities. I get loads of scam eBay and PayPal emails, but nearly fell for one. It purported to be from eBay, looked legit, and advised me thaI had been granted eBay Powerseller status. This was credible, because I had had loads of sales. It asked me to login and then complete a transaction on eBay. Foolishly I logged in (dohhhh) but realised immediately that I had been scammed. Changed my passwords straight away, and fortunately, have had nothing untoward happen.
