Sorry if this has been asked a million times, but what are the going rates and best places to approach regarding insurance for Lamborghini's ?

What sort of premiums are you people paying and your insurance status (NCB, Ages etc)

My current deal is circa £1800 p/a (33 yrs old, 9 yrs NCB, 3 Points SP30, Garaged, High Security etc) with underwritten value of £88,500 for the whole year if it disappears etc.

How does this compare ?

With Zurich Private Clients for the Murci I'm either 1650 or £1850 p/a cannae remember as it's a mutli-car policy for 4 cars so it's hard to break down. I'm 32 yrs old, 5 yrs NCB, 3 Points SP30, Alarmed Garaged, GPS Tracker and live in Glasgow and had two claims in 6 yrs, one was vandalism and the other hit and run but only on my Range Rover. It has a guaranteed value of £110,000. Also it is 1k for it's excess.

Hope that helps mate.

Cheers for the info Chaps.

I'm currently with Zurich Private Clients too - multi car policy, so the £1800 is a rough guess based on the total policy premium (which also includes house insurances/travel insurances etc etc).

Maybe its time to shop around a bit, although the cover/package on the Zurich PC policy is bloody good as an all in one policy.

Be aware that ZPC will only quote once, so the quote should be the same anywhere you go from them.

£650!!! I can't believe that. I shopped round everyone (1st point,Aon,Zurich) etc and the cheapest i could get is £1800. 37 yrs old clean licence, full no claims.

Who are you with?

Andy.

I was thinking £650 sounded a bit on the unreal side too.

These are £85k+ value high risk items after all

I couldnt get my Range Rover Sport (shit diesel) less than £650! - and you can hardly compare the two vehicles

Andy

You aren't with AON, they're purely a broker not an underwriter, the same as Footman James!Your actual policy will be with another firm!

As CUE99 said, you'll only get an underwriter to quote once, so choose your broker carefully, but look at the terms of the policy VERY carefully!

I know it sounds pedantic, but there's a huge difference between a broker and an underwriter, and your actual scope of cover is decided by the latter!

There are 3 recognised quality underwriters who can be accessed via most good brokers, Chubb, Zurich Private Clients and AIG. Lots of others will cover you, but just wait until you have a claim, then you'll realise why they were cheaper!

Hi, as long as it is your second vehicle (not your main use vehicle or used for business purposes) and does less than 5000 miles per annum we can help with good premium prices. www.hagertyinsurance.co.uk, 08700 420220. Mention you are a fellow Pher and you get a 10% discount as well.
Best regards
Darren

Hi Andy,

Yes, it's a real quote. Limited to 3,000 miles. Clean Licence, Full NCB, Tracker, Garage tighter than fort knox! The wife actually brought the premium down!.

It's with the Admiral / Bell Direct / Elephant clan.

No problems so far!!

Sparky, fingers crossed if you need to claim they'll be OK. A mate found out that the same print in their policy was that they pay out trade price for total loss (doesn't say where they get the valuation from) and they use their choice of bodyshop for any repair work, not your choice. Have a look at the small print. Saving £400 now could cost you later!
