JUST BOUGHT A V8S WITH JUST 4K MILES ON THE CLOCK (THE ONLY ONE ON THE ISLAND OF MALTA)DOES IT HAVE AN AIR FILTER FROM THE MANUFACTURERES OR DO I HAVE TO FIT ONE AND IF I HAVE TO FIT ONE ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE.

Great to know that there is one V8s on malta, maybe one on Gozo soon I emailed you regarding that. I have a K&N filter on my V8s from ACT, if you mail them they will offer excellent advice.

GOOD MORNING TO YOU ALL IN BRIT AND DUBAI AND BONGU TO ALL LOCALS IN MALTA AND GOZO, I'M A BIT SLOW WITH MY COMP. BUT CANNOT RESIST THE ACCELERATION PEDAL ON MY V8S I'M SO HEAVY FOOTED ALREADY BROKE THE CABLE. I HAVE ORDERED AN ACT FILTER THANKS,YES THE CLIMATE IS DRY OUT HERE AND THE CAR IS FANTASTIC, DO YOU HAVE ANY ADDRESSES FOR TVR PARTS, JUST IN CASE.
IN MALTA I KNOW OF A TVR S2 THAT WAS IMPORTED FROM CANADA (LEFT HAND DRIVE,GREEN) A GRIFFITH 500 (LIGHT METALLIC BLUE) AND ANOTHER GRIF OF METALLIC GREEN, BUT ONLY ONE V8S BLUE AND THAT'S MINE.

That's a feeling I know well! In my experience they usually go by the pedal, this can be caused by the cable being misaligned where it passes through the bulkhead, and/or the pedal being adjusted too high, and/or pressing too hard on the pedal when you're already at full throttle. After you've checked the other problems I suggest you fit a throttle stop, it took about an inch and a half off the throttle pedal travel on mine, that's how much I had been stretching the cable in the heat of the moment trying to find a bit more acceleration.

GOOD MORNING AND THANK YOU ALL, YES I HAD TO FIT A TROTTLE STOP AND THAT SOLVED THE PROBLEM, I HAD A FAB DAY SAT. CRUISING IN THE SUNSHINE WITH MY V8S AND THAT MADE MY DAY.
THE BRIDGESTONE TIRES ARE ORIGINALS BUT 14 YEARS OLD AND HAVE A FEW SURFACE CRACKS IN THEM, I WILL HAVE TO BUY NEW ONES, CAN YOU SUGGEST WHAT SIZE IS THE WIDEST I CAN FIT, I NEED MORE TRACTION ON OUR ROADS.
