Was offered a 96 R33 GTR with light front damage today, needs about 1,500 squid worth of work to get it back on the road..

Be worth checking if it is just light frontal repair, and no dodgy repairs underneath! Does sound like a deal though.

its a trader, which makes me think what the car was bought in Japan for...

Check it has all its papers if not reg'd over here. It'll need a jap de-reg doc & importers declaration to regsiter it.

I had a good look over the car in person, and it needs..

bumper, bonnet, headlights, airbags (ahem), a bit of subframe, one new alloy, new radator...

think thats about it

probs best to look in person? what about the slam panel etc?

Charlie I think it would be OK. I know of an R33 GTS for £2500 that has a GTR front ( copy I thnk) so that would make a very cheap GTR

Think you'll need a new rad hanger bar too (repairable with some cutting/fabbing ,I'm told). I only mention it becuse they are 'laterally flimsy' & looks to be a little out of shape, also ours was bent from a similar impact a couple years ago.
Looks like it could be a good buy tho
