Exhaust Gasket...

Anyone have any idea what type of gasket is between the centre pipe and rear section. I dont know (and very much doubt) if its a standard part for all, but its a triangular fitment with 3 bolts to fix toegther....

Pretty sure that on mine there is no gasket as such, just an exhaust sealant gum like firebond, as these surfaces are fairly flat and should mate ok, well they did on my 350 and 400 when a standard exhaust was on

I think you mean the join in the 'over axle section' in the
left hand side wheel arch..

No idea .. but I would think anything would do..

pain steel / flame proof paper or firegum.

You could try cleaning it up and re-seal with firegum or give
TVR Car parts a call and see if there is a gasket.

When I enquired about exhaust gaskets with JP Exhausts they told me that they don't use them any more, just high temp RTV sealant. Have to say I was a little surprised but it seems to have worked OK on mine. One big advantage is that it cleans off easily if you have to take the exhaust apart.

My Thorpy exhaust doesnt have anything in that join and its fine. Well, the 105dB from the tailpipe would drown it out anyway!
