I've seen so mnay threads over past few weeks about the amount of time and effort it takes to find a good Chim and the variation in drive and how they have been looked after. My purchase was a little different. I'd been hangering after a cheap S series for a few months but had not really been looking that hard. Suddenly got he urge to spend 5-6k on one. Was going to look at a couple one weekend and The bread knife said she didn't like the back end on the S but she's always loved the chimps bottom and lovely curves and said we should spend more and get one.

So how lucky is this. I spotted one on ebay that was going for a reasonable price and bought it totally blind (knowing that if car was not as descibed I wouldn't pay).

Anyway looked at car and it sounded nice looked nice and went nice, so honoured the bid and bought it. Anyway since then i've had a proper enthusiast look at it TOV1E and its one of the nicest he's seen (well ertianly not a rough one). The drive is tight as you like, no knocks squeeks rattles. So there's a story that you can impulse buy a CHIMP and come off ok.

I must add though I did do all the usual checks and full HPi before parting with sovs.

No doubt I'll be changing this story when it goes into topcats for its first service under my ownership! watch this space.....

You'd have been better off buying a car than a monkey.....

and before anyone says..I know a chimp isn't really a monkey.....

Was the Chimps bottom tight as well? You'll have to stop taking your Missus to the Zoo.
ARE YOU SURE GOV?
