Looking forward to seeing the results. Does the £300 include a polariser ? No, probably not at that price !

The 105mm circ. pol. is £157, plus £25 for the holder, plus VAT!

It is expensive but it's fantastic quality. This may be a time for the old addage "buy cheap buy twice". As you've got the Lee kit, you're only going to buy the polariser once and it will cover all your big aperture wide angle lenses too.

See, there you are, I've justified it for you and talked you into it already. Bloke logic at work

Cheers

Chris

BTW Martin... well done on the hood. Don't ever bring it to Scotland, or you'll lose it.

From looking at second hand CSR's, cheap is the last thing you can say about Caterhams! Looks like I'll have the Boxster for a while longer yet.

I used this very same logic recently when I chopped in my 300 f2.8 non VR AFS lens for....a 200-400 f4 with VR and AFS. Bloke logic was "it's roughly the same weight, gives me the same apperture as the 300 with the converter on and gives me much more compositional creativity than the fixed focal length" I completely neglected to think about(well more like wanted to ignore) the cost to change

Bloke logic - powerful stuff

I went Lee simply because..well...Steve had produced tangible results and also, it was only 25 quid for a holder vs 10 quid for Cokin. Sure, it's more expensive, but, hell, at that level, it's not something you really can complain about.25 quid vs 10 quid....ffs.this is PH...that's what, 1/3 tank of petrol...if that? Behave

Do you get vignetting with your Cokins? I just tried out my cokin filter holder on my 10-20 and got no vignetting at all (other than the usual fall off at the edges).

One might have expected a sample image post by, say, 11am yesterday. But here it is well over 24 hours later and .... nothing.

What IS going on?
