Most 32" screens are 1366x768, which isn't that great (in fact I have a 17" phillips at that resolution). There are some full 1080p (1960x1080 I think) screens out there, but they are £1500 plus.
Below are a couple of options (can do better than Currys
but I had it open)
Samsung LE32R73BD £650 online at Currys
Toshiba 32WLT66 £599 " " "
PHILIPS 37PF9731D £1600 " " " (1080p 37" )

No reason at all, but then it all depends on what the Mac mini is being used for?
If you'll spend more time using it mainly as a computer, then the CD makes sense.
If you'll spend more time with it acting as a media centre, then the LCD TV (32-37" ) makes more sense, plus offering surfing etc from the sofa rather than 18" away.
Ultimately, I think the latter is likely to be the ideal in the long term.
