There I am thinking I am sorted, have the jump leads space next to Tiv to park other car but where do I plug the leads into?? I know its on the offside near the wheel but.............
Think I need a torch as well because its too dark! Luckily its in a secured carpark!

Only been on the forum a day, but read a few posts about batterys going flat, doors not being able to open, jump starts needed etc. Not looked under the Tuscan yet (it's in the garage until the slush disappears) but I take it the terminal points are easy to find ? Any pics anywhere showing what to look for ?

Unless you have a LHD, I think you'll find it on the nearside just behind the wheel, with a cover on it (wired so that you won't lose it) which you need to pull off.

I went a slightly different route. I bought an accumate trickle charger and at the moment it's just sitting constantly plugged in to the cigarette lighter and works like a dream.

Get an Accumate and the Tuscan jump leads (bought mine on EBay for £30 incl P+P) and you are sorted.
5 years of TVR ownership and no probs whatsoever re battery...even on one occasion when the Tuscan was laid up for 10 weeks.

Any recomendations on how best to prevent battery problems when the car's not being run for any length of time ? My Tuscan has the trickle charger fitted, but my garage isn't anywhere near the house so can't plug it in ! I'm trying to give the car a decent run every couple of days right now (last had it out on Friday, will take it out tomorrow) but thinking ahead to if (when) we have a spell of snow and it maybe can't get a run for a week or so, or if i'm ever on holiday. Any advice ?

If your car is left in a locked garage, don't lock/immobilise it this can apparently run the battery down relatively quickly. Generally left like this I've found mine retains it's charge for a couple of weeks and starts without a problem. Alternatively continue taking it for a drive every couple of days.... any excuse.
