Did Wedges ever have under-dash-covers??

Anyone got covers under the dash on their Wedge? Mine hasnt, and it looks a bit rough under there.
Im thinking of making moulds and laying some up in GRP, then carpeting and fitting. I intend to include a proper vent to go on the end of the heater pipe too.
Also, do other people find that the flap on which the ECU fits always falls down on the passengers ankles? My other half is getting very weary of it!
If it all works out, would other people be interested in them? I could make a few pairs up and bring to Wedgefest if theres demand. I would have to charge a few beer tokens to cover costs, but shouldnt be too expensive!

None that I've ever seen. But then, even well into the '80s most mass-market tin boxes didn't fully-enclose all the bits either.
A lot of wedges have some kind of retaining mechanism, ranging from a screw and nut through flap and dashboard, to straps and Velcro or as in my case, a bit of Dexion that swings round to hold the flap.

It is worth getting the flap fixed securely, I hadn't bothered on mine for the first few months of ownership and had just go used to flicking it back up each time it fell down.
Then one day as I was pulling into a busy roundabout the engine refused to rev cleanly, it idled fine though.
After some desperate poking around under the bonnet (big traffic queues building up behind) I remembered the flap and gave the ECU multiplug a good push home. It ran fine after that, so the first thing I did when I got home was fit a small mettle bar on top of one of the ECU mounting bolts, which I swing round over the lip of the dash moulding to stop the flap falling down.
