on my 330d why does the computer display do a countdown from 350(i think)down to zero in jumps of 50. i notice this happens sometimes whilst i'm driving?

Not sure why you'd want to, dpeanding on the speed you are going it's only there for a few seconds.

Drive faster.

It only shows the direction arrows when you have asked it to plot a route, There is no way to get rid of it completely becasue the nav assumes you need directions...however, if you have the screen in wide mode the arrows appear in the top right hand conner, in a smaller font/gif. If you have the small screen or 4:3 screen then your stuck with it.

the countdown appears on the dash display, by the odometer not on the nav screen itself.

A quick flick to any of the other onboard computer readouts will get rid of it until the next time.

Sorry - no way to permenantly disable it that I know of.
