For some reason, when I try to immediately re-start the engine on my Sag after a long run & it's good and hot it's a bit of a struggle. Tends to struggle to fire, sometimes the engine 'coughs' and then fires.scratchchin Not become a problem as yet, wondered if anyone has the answer as to why... just in case there's an issue. Thanks!

No answers, but had the same in the T350 just once, when I filled with Optimax (whatever it is called now) on the continent, then stopped for a coffee. She took some throttle to start, which she has never done before or since. Now I save my pennies and put in 95...

Sorry, this doesn't help, but I had exactly the same on my T350. It happened 4 or 5 times. I also had a couple of embarassing moments, sat on the forecourt of a petrol station with people staring, while it was turning over and thinking about firing. Even started to fill up with fuel at the beginning of a run, while it was still cold, to avoid the problem.

It was one of those problems which came and disappeared. I didn't do anything.......it just stopped happening over night confused

I had the same thing with the T350. It only happened when hot due to a faulty water temperature sensor. It was saying the water was over 105 degrees and wouldnt let the engine start until it dropped below 100.

I had this with my Sag. Took it back to the Dealer and expected them to fob me off with some excuse and when they said they had fixed it i thought it would still happen. To my astonishment it never happened again. Unfortunatly i have no idea what they did but it worked.

It was very embarasing though with people admiring and talking about what a lovely car and then i would sit there turning it over for about a minute before large explosions and black smoke everywhere. It's hard enough trying to convince people that TVR's are not as bad as everyone says without showing them how good they are at starting.

Thanks for the replies. I can relate to your experience Nick - happened twice and it's not good!

I'll get it down to Heritage TVR for them to have a look and see if they can perform the same miracle.

Cheers.
