I`m after the drivers door proximaty switch.The window is not going fully up so I`ve come to the conclusion from past threads that`s what must be at fault.Anyone know the best place to buy it.A phone number/website would be great.

not exactly sure, but i recon maplins or rs components would be where i'd start.

Door proximity switches:

RS Components, part no. 455-3744, this switch can be NC or NO, TVR use Normally closed circuit, so ignore the green wire and just use the white (common) and the brown. They are less than a Tenner each.

Is the window catching on the door seal? This would trip the pressure sender and stop it.

thanks i`ve ordered one from RS today.I`m going to replace the other door connections whilst the card is off and hopefully this`ll sort it.thanks everyone.ps retrimmed the door in suede if i knew how to post a pic i would show it off.

Ive just replaced the door inserts in mine,with some faux leather bought on fleabay,looks exactly like the real thing.I also replaced the rear seat squabs as well with the same stuff.I bough 4mtrs of the stuff inc p+p came to less than £20.The biggest cost was the trimmer who charged £220 to fit it all.But it does look good with allthe stitching in the right place you cant tell difference from the real thing.Covered the parcel shelf myself in the same stuff.
