Hole in dashboard

I recently had a fog light switch failure which has left me with a hole in the dash board. I don't suppose anybody has a spare Lucas 3 position, round style switch they'd like to sell me? Or, any idea which other cars they were fitted to? I've been in contact with the chairman of the Morris Marina club already, he assures me they were never fitted to Marina's.

When you say failure - has it fallen to pieces or simply stopped working?

They can be dismantled and the contacts cleaned quite easily. Not sure what they came off though.

These guys might be able to help not purchased anything from them for the TIV but having seen them all at kit car shows I know they both have loads of 'old' switches

By failure I mean the plastic locking tabs broke and springs and contacts went everywhere. I tried the TVR scrappers today, they're short of all S bits and not a switch in sight. Thanks for the links, I'll try them out and keep you posted. I'm determined to get to the bottom of this yet!

A couple of years ago I searched around for a replacement for the blower switch for my S2 and never did find a source. In the end I fitted a Mk1 Vauxhall Cavalier headlight switch which has the same circular knob as the original TVR switch but a slightly larger body so you need to file out the hole in the dash to fit it. The logo was wrong but it did look OK. (Also as it was for the blower I only got one fan speed because it was Off/On1/On1+2 rather than Off/On1/On2 - not a problem for the fogs though)

Thanks for all the response but unfortunately I've not been able to source a suitable alternative from any of the places suggested. I've not long bought a house so not had much time for enquiring about reproductions, but it is on my infinate list of things to do.

It's been a few months now so I thought I'd try again to see if anybody has got a spare round 3 position rotary switch (fog/dimmer/fan)that they'd like to sell me? Or has anybody fitted 3 suitable alternatives? If so where from?

Thanks to RSMexico for bragging of his 20+ years of working in the TVR factory and when asked where the switches originally came from not getting back to me! Appreciated.

Mike, I've just posted a note about window switches for my S3 from a company called Ansor in Italy, they are really helpful, have a look at their website and catalogue, you may find something there, they do all makes and kinds of switches.
