And... if buying, where from, when it was last serviced, general condition, colour, full/half hide, tyres, any replacement parts etc etc.

Sounds about right for a non-pas car. £14-£14.5k seems common for pas with similar mileage at the moment (from browsing Sprint/Autotrader/Pistonheads).

I reckon that's a good price - see what the last service threw up though to see if you are going to be in for any bills in the near future. What are the tyres like? A whole set will cost just over £400 so things like tat can sway a deal.

Always a good bargaining point if you're buying.

Best of luck.

If you have a bit neck, you should be able to get well into 500 territory. It's still a buyers market at the moment, don't be put off that it's spring and the weather is getting better.

Early 500 with PAS should be within your budget - don't buy without PAS regardless of what other people may say as it affects your re-sale. You will always find it easier to re-sell a car over 4.0ltr. If you can't find a 500 get a 4.3, but don't pay a premium.

Air-con is just that, and useless - it doesn't work very well so don't pay over the odds. It's better to buy a car with full leather as early car can be had with vinyl seats. Look at the seats and if you can see any grain, it's vinyl rahter than leather as it should be smooth.

Always buy on a full service history, it doen't matter if it's been serviced by an independant rather than Dealer as some Dealers are not that good.
