I went down to the garage yesterday to find one of my new rear PZero's as flat as Kate Moss's chest. I changed to the space saver, and found a broken craft knife blade in the tyre. Not repairable. Balls.

So Event Mobile tyres did the job this morning for a very reasonable £150.

As the bloke left, I thought I'd check the tyre pressure he'd put in just to be sure.

It was correct.

So I checked the other three, as you do, to discover that.................... yes you guessed it.......

THE OTHER VIRTUALLY NEW REAR TYRE ALSO HAD A PUNCTURE.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!

So a dash to Kwik Fit for a repair to the screw hole (!)

Cost for today? £170.

PLUS ten quid for beer. And coronary surgery.

*and breathe*

you have my sympathy soov.

on a jaunt "up north" my "check brake pads" light has come on.

48000 mile service due, disks and pads required (but will be done by my local spannerman) and the RMS needs replacing so of course it would be churlish not to do the clutch at the same time.

I am sure the car will be revitalised after but i dont know how long my credit card will take to recover.

If I see Tony Hart near the car he's dead.

Oh, he is dead, isn't he...?

If it's any comfort...I've had:
Deep scratch in front wing (£500)
Bonnet jumped on and replaced (£2500 ish)
Wing mirror kicked off (£350)
Beers to cope (£500+)

And then I moved out of London and no worries since (touch fake wood Ikea desk)

Soovy, quick question. Do you live near Docklands or just work there? Reason I ask is that I'm near Lakeside (no jokes please) and was considering using Event Tyres for my new rubber later this year if they covered my area.

If it makes you feel better, the first day I had my car (Nov 06), I curbed both of the passenger side rims (hey, first time driving RHD give me a break). Then that weekend I hit something in the right lane of the M25 at about 897mph. Blowout drivers side rear. F'ed up the rim too - big gash in the side. Had to call Porsche assist for a flatbed, then had to have both rear tires replaced by Porsche West London and the car checked over for any other damage (BTW, the worst dealer EVER). Charged me just short of 600 GBP.

Although, driving a 996 TT... priceless!

How good/safe are tyre repairs especially on high performance cars? My motto has always been bin the tyre, you might wince but better than a blow out at xxx mph........
