it was a top of the range with all the extra's

120k,s worth of Porsche with bigger turbo's and a few extra's

it was a nice car and had a nice interior - had a good spread of torque

i was not overly impressed with the power - not my cup of tea, but a nice car

anyone on here driven one ?

Sold my 996 Turbo to get the Noble.
lovely car for every day use but really un-envolving to drive
997 Turbo not much different to drive.

Not driven one, but by all accounts even less emotional than the 996 iteration. Very nice high end transport for daily use, but not really an enthusiasts car imho.

They are quite handsome cars.
Price scares me off though!

Off the top of my head, K12s, or if you had the X50 powerkit, a Turbo S or a GT2 K14s.

Hmm - test driving a 996 Turbo with the power upgrade on Sunday ... any thoughts?

Standard 996 turbo 2 x K16

996 turbo X50
996 turbo S
and the 996 GT2 all used 2 x K24

That's for a 996TT though. Gadgeroonie drove a 997TT, which uses a Borg Warner Variable Turbine Geometry setup stock, which are much more difficult to change out. It's impressive shops are already doing it this soon.
