this may get a better response posted in here.

as far as i know the 18" spiders are 8.5jx18" and 42et front 33et rear,im looking at a set of lightweight wheels for the track, which are 8Jx17" with an offset of 17et. (from a cerb 4.5) so im told.
but will they poke out too far past arches on my T350 or not fill them enough? im not upto speed with wheel offsets

any help much appreciated.

oh and the new wheels weigh 17kg each with tyres on, which i believe is quite good as i just weighed one of my spiders with toyo tyre, its a heavyweight at 23kg, so a saving of 6kg per corner would be achieved.

Pretty sure I am right in saying the Cerb offset is 35mm not 17mm. As it is for track use I would really recommend trying to keep to the correct offsets, no point in saving unsprung weight to then screw up the handling, the same offset wheel used all round on a t350 will essentially put your front wheels sitting further out than your rears which is not ideal. Have you looked at the Silverstone Performance alloys, a good weight saving and available for pretty much all TVR's with the correct offset's. A much pricier option than picking up some old Cerb 4.5 alloys however.

yeh after searching threads 35 offset would seem more realistic, is it possible to have the hub/wheel altered/machined to make a wheel fit?

or put a spacer in the rear and have the arches widened?

they are compomotive mo's in anthracite, and in as good as new condition, so much prefer them over the silverstone performance wheels

Each to their own... but what odd priorities! confused

An 8" wide rim on the rear means you'll have to reduce rear tyre width. Are you going drifting?

Don't know what you paid for them, but I wouldn't be modifying the car myself. MO's of that size can be had from £160-180 new and in the right size for your car, even with slightly bigger rims to take a bit more rubber at the rear if needed.

im quite aware of your passion for the sp wheel through previous threads but im sorry it doesn't do anything for me, to suggest i would go drifting in a T350 on a set of cerb wheels is slightly odd, think its past your bedtime Boss.

i have not purchased the wheels, simply trying to get some info on compatability of this used set, obviously this set is not going to fit my car so i shall continue to surf.
