Monaco 2007

I am arranging a "budget" holiday to see the Monaco GP - flying out mid-week and stopping for approx 1 week. Can anyone recommend any campsites or budget hotels in Nice or surrounding areas ? Plus any tips on getting around / good viewing areas whilst at GP / etc would be appreciated !

Try the Hotel Windsor in Nice. We stayed this recently (sept), it was reasonably cheap and very comfortable, with some unusual style. This one has it's own (weird) website. The staff speak english so if you email your requirements they reply quickly

If you want to stay a little further away in Cannes i have stayed in the Hotel l'esterel. Absolutely basic, but cheap and fairly newly refurbished. Good spot for the money. Very cheap. Not sure about a website but it comes up on Expedia.co.uk

I suggest looking between Monaco and Italy. Menton is only 5 mins on the train to Monaco but much much cheaper.
