Refurbing 5 spoke alloys

I've just got a set of 5 spoke Axia alloys for my Griff, and I want to get them refinished.
The original finish looks like its 'diamond cut' polished then laquered.
Has anyone any experiences, good or bad, with wheel finishers? Any advice would be appreciated.
BTW if these look as good as I hope they will when I get them on the car I might be selling a good set of OZ splitrims. They were original on the car (I've got the invoice), but life's too short to keep them properly clean.
