Having some trouble with posting links. Is there a maximum string length for a URL link?

I typed in the URL & did a preveiw, but it didn't show the entire URL, only about half. However some links did work, but most did not. Any advice?

there's a limit on how much of a url will be displayed but the links should work - unless it has any dodgy characters in it.

If it does have dodgy characters in use http://tinyurl.com/ - paste the long URL in and it will give you a short one back.

What are dodgy characters? There are a number of instances of %20 to fill the spaces in the files for download. All URLs have these characters, some work, some don't.

Thanks for the Tiny link.
