Hi All,

Having had my car for just 2 weeks I am now a little concerned.

2 main things,

Firstly, the brakes are making a grinding noise when i am coming to a stop, the noise is not really noticeable at speeds above about 10 MPH, but this might just be down to road noise masking the brake noise.

Secondly, and slightly more worrying, the front suspension makes some horrible noises when i go over speed bumps or some more that normal bumps in the road, the noise is kind of like a scraping noise as the suspension moves through its travel.

Does anyone have any ideas on either of these.

The brake noise is almost certainly brake pads. The noise will be because there is no pad material left, just the steel backing. You should not continue driving the car. If you are not doing the work yourself then get it to a garage and have them look for the suspension noise at the same time.
Can I say again......You should not continue driving the car. If the pad material has gone then you have virtually no brakes.
